Tom and Jerry
Ingredients:
3 eggs separated
1/2 lb sugar
Boiling water
Nutmeg
Rum (or Bourbon)
Notes:
Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, then beat in as much sugar as they will hold. Beat egg yolks slightly and add to egg whites.
Use 2 tablespoons batter, a shot or two of booze, boiling water and sprinkle with nutmeg.
